COME WORSHIP WITH US!

Catch the Church Chair!

Time and Location

Summer 2025

June 29th - October 12th: Catch the church chair free on Sunday mornings at Snows Mountain. Load the Snows mountain double chair at 8:30 a.m. for a 9 a.m. outdoor service. Join us for an outdoor christian worship service in a natural amphitheater nestled in the trees on the top of Snows Mountain. Prefer to skip the chair lift? It’s also a fun and easy hike to the amphitheater.

We still meet during inclement weather in the lift house at the bottom of the mountain.

Sunday school with kids games and programming offered most weeks.

Winter

Late December through the end of ski season: Come worship with us around a solo stove campfire at 10 a.m. at the top of the Kinder Park/Lower Pasture Carpet.

The church service does not require skiing or snowboarding or a lift ticket to attend!

**Note that in 2025, there will be no Easter sunrise service at Waterville Valley, however stay tuned for details from Loon Mountain Ministry about the Easter sunrise service at Loon Mountain.

Our Story

In 2018 a few from the valley recognized the need for a church. A phone call was made to Loon Mountain Ministry, a resort church just up the road, to help cast the vision for a Waterville Valley worship service. That winter a small group gathered a few times and “Catch the Church Chair” was born. The movement continues to grow and the response has been encouraging and the work of the Lord is evident. Waterville Valley Community Church now meets weekly in the Summer and Winter with an incredible team of dedicated volunteers and guest speakers to teach worship together each week.

Our Team

The Schroeders-

Randy, Marissa, Acadia, Willow and Laurel moved to New Hampshire the spring of 2021 from Colorado. They love Jesus, snowboarding, farming, hiking, cooking, hosting, and ministering to the ski resort culture. Randy is the national director of ministry for Snowboarders and Skiers for Christ.

The Whites-

Troy, Brook, Rain, Eden, Ivey, Ryder, and Juju are staples of the local community. They live in Thornton and are dedicated to the good of their neighbors. From local business owners to active participation in the youth orchestra they make the people around them better. They love to travel, play music, and ride lawn tractors.

The Bucks-

Noah, Lydia, Judah and Shiloh are locals from Thornton. 98% of the time they love playing disk golf on the way down the mountain from Church chair. Along with swimming, hiking, and BBQing, they are super excited to be a part of the Waterville community this summer!
